“Niagara Falling” a special online encore of the 2012 performance. The piece began with despair and outrage at our country’s economic collapse. It began before the Occupy Movement took root, and has been tended to and brought to life in the context of what journalist Chris Hedges calls “the disease of empire.” Sixth Street. Old Falls Street. San Francisco and Niagara Falls, New York. Two communities at opposite ends of the country that hold dreams, memories, sorrows and a desire for something more. We have created this site specific event because we want to ask who will rescue our cities. Is it the artists, the activists, the small businesses, the mayor, the tourists, working people, students, families? Is it me? Is it you?
